ABOUT MRS. EMERSON

My name is Olivia Emerson, and I am proud to be working with the great community here at Madison for an eighth year. In this 2023-2024 school year, I will be teaching one of four 3rd grade classes.

Our classroom will be a positive, exciting environment where each student’s natural enthusiasm for the world is utilized to make every day exciting, meaningful, and jam-packed with learning!

My teaching career began after earning a Teaching Credential and a Masters of Education from U.C. San Diego in 2009. Since then, I have taught in San Diego, Vacaville, Cupertino, and San Leandro. The 2021-2022 school year will be my thirteenth year of elementary school teaching.

I feel extremely fortunate to have a career in which I spend each day doing what I love with people I deeply care for. In my free time, I enjoy spending my time outdoors (hiking, bicycling, camping), cooking, enjoying & creating art, and spending time with my husband, our dogs Luci and Frank, & our two cats Elote and Juniper.
